Position Overview

Halftime Help is seeking an experienced and driven Field Operations Team Leader to oversee multiple crews in our lawn care, landscaping, and snow removal services. This leadership role requires a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in landscaping or lawn maintenance, combined with proven skills in crew supervision and management. As the Field Operations Supervisor, youll be responsible for coordinating schedules, maintaining quality standards, ensuring employee performance, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Crew Oversight and Leadership : Manage multiple crews performing lawn care, landscaping, moving, and snow removal services, ensuring work meets high standards in both quality and efficiency.
  • Scheduling and Resource Management : Develop and manage work schedules, coordinate team assignments, and ensure adequate staffing for each project. Anticipate and adjust for changes in weather or client needs.
  • Training and Development : Oversee training for new crew members, including proper equipment use, safety protocols, and worksite procedures. Mentor crew leaders and team members, fostering a safety-conscious and high-performance culture.
  • Performance Management : Monitor crew performance, providing regular feedback, conducting performance reviews, and addressing any performance issues promptly and professionally.
  • Operational Efficiency and Quality Assurance : Conduct site visits to monitor work quality, troubleshoot issues, and ensure that all jobs are completed on time and within budget.
  • Field Presence and Quality Control : Work alongside crews in the field most of the day, ensuring quality service delivery, providing on-the-spot coaching, and addressing issues in real-time.
  • Client Communication and Satisfaction : Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on-site, address any issues or questions, and work to exceed client expectations.
  • Equipment and Resource Oversight : Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of all equipment; coordinate repairs and replacements as needed.
  • Reporting and Analysis : Track team performance, project costs, and timelines. Prepare reports for management, offering insights and recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications

  • Experience and Leadership : Minimum of 2 years in landscaping, lawn care, or a related field, including at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and mentor teams effectively, with strong team management skills.
  • Management and Organizational Skills : Strong skills in scheduling, performance management, and prioritizing tasks. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, maintain accurate records, and ensure team efficiency in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to resolve issues independently, maintain positive relationships, and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Physical Stamina : Demonstrated ability to perform physically demanding tasks and consistently lift items over 50 lbs safely and efficiently.
  • Reliability and Work Ethic : Strong organizational skills, with a proven commitment to punctuality, accountability, and maintaining high work standards.
  • Interpersonal and Leadership Qualities : Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. Strong decision-making abilities and a track record of adapting and thriving in challenging environments.
  • Drivers License and Background Check : Must hold a valid drivers license with proof of a clean driving record and successfully pass a background check as a condition of hire.
  • Fluency in English : Must be fluent in written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with team members, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Preferred Background : Former student-athletes strongly preferred, with additional consideration given to current coaches and veterans who demonstrate discipline, teamwork, and leadership.
  • Compensation and Benefits

  • Base Salary : $40,000 annually
  • Performance Bonuses : Available based on productivity, leadership effectiveness, and overall performance
  • Total Target Compensation : $47,500 annually (uncapped potential based on performance)

  • April November : Approximately 40-50 hours per week, including weekends
  • December March : Approximately 30-40 hours per week, including weekends
  • This is a salaried, exempt position, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.
