This faculty member will play a critical role in delivering instruction and supporting student success in the Human Services program.
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned classes, creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
- Meet classes as assigned, using teaching methods designed for various learning styles.
- Use course materials in accordance with college and departmental guidelines.
- Assist with maintaining a classroom environment emphasizing safety, good housekeeping, and equipment security.
The successful candidate will also:
- Develop curriculum and assessments aligned with student learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional practices and student success.
- Participate in the college's assessment process and contribute to the Quality Enhancement Plan.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, applicants must hold a Master's degree in Human Services or Social Work, or 18 graduate credits in Human Services or a related field.
- Preferred qualifications include a Master's in Human Services or MSW, 3-5 years of teaching experience, and hands-on human and social services experience.
- Candidates must be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with colleagues.
