About the Role
We are seeking a talented instructor to lead our Human Services program. As a Full-Time Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, managing departmental operations, and collaborating with faculty and staff.
- Design and deliver courses aligned with student learning outcomes
- Develop and maintain curriculum materials in accordance with college standards
- Supervise and mentor students during office hours and beyond
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to decision-making processes
- Collaborate with the Learning Resource Center to select and maintain relevant resources
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting and record-keeping
- Represent Halifax Community College at events and conferences
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Human Services or Social Work, or equivalent experience
- Proven teaching experience at the college level
- Strong understanding of curriculum development and instructional design
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
