What are the responsibilities and job description for the Anticipated Opening: LTS Reading Specialist position at Halifax Elementary School?
Halifax Elementary School is seeking to hire fully credentialed, certified rules-based reading teacher to service general and special education students attending Halifax Elementary School.
The assignment is anticipated to start in the middle of October 2024 and last approximately 8 weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one and/or small group direct rules - based reading instruction for identified students.
• Advise teachers regarding planning, implementation and assessment of specialized reading programs for students with substantial disabilities at elementary, middle and high school levels.
• Maintain data of student performance and complete data informed summary reports for all students.
• Coordinate and develop a service schedule with the classroom and special education teachers for students.
• Responsible for the day-to-day and weekly progress monitoring of students assigned to their caseload.
Certification as a Reading Specialist is required.
