Job Description
Halifax Linen Service, a leading provider of advanced linen and uniform programs and services, is seeking a Route Service Representative for the Roanoke Rapids, NC region to manage, service, retain and grow customer accounts for Halifax’s advanced uniform and linen rental programs and services in the food & beverage, healthcare, hospitality, commercial service, and industrial industries.
Route Service Representative – Role Requirements
This active, hands-on, route service and sales role requires 3-5 years of proven experience working independently in a customer service, route sales, or field service role supporting, growing, and retaining EXISTING customers as a primary day-to-day function. The Route Service Representative role is a customer-facing role requiring expertise in servicing, supporting and exceeding customer expectations and up-selling additional products and services to generate increased account growth on a defined route for the Wilmington branch location. (Experience in the textile, linen, or apparel marketplace is a plus.)

Top performance requires a proactive, customer-oriented approach to engage and create rapport and relationships with diverse customers on an established route to service, support and retain their accounts and qualify and develop opportunities for add-on sales and new business opportunities. Sales skills to qualify, demonstrate, and influence are required for success in developing new business opportunities with existing customers.
The Route Service Representative role requires strong focus on the following:
- 75% - Customer Account Management – Service and support current customers through product delivery, pick up, and problem resolution on a defined route to manage and retain accounts. Includes new customer installs and account service.
- 20% - Existing Customer – Account Growth – Upsell product promotions, qualify and develop, new business opportunities, gain referrals, or identify new leads for the sales team.
- 5% - Administration – Service administrative activities, documentation, and reporting.
Additional Experience… Related sales or service experience in the textile, linen, or apparel marketplace is a plus.
