What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housing Community Outreach Assistant position at Haliwa-Saponi Indian Tribe?
Description/Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Housing Director, this position provides outreach assistance for the Tribe’s Housing Service activities. Position will be responsible for the overall efforts of the Tribe to bring about decent, safe affordable housing to the Tribe’s citizens and improve the quality of life for the tribal community. Responsible for managing and regulating housing community services provided by the tribal government consistent with applicable plans, policies, guidelines, regulations and laws. Responsible for coordinating and providing support services that improve the health, education and general welfare of the citizens of the tribe and those residing in Tribal housing.
Requirements: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to possession of an Associate’s degree and one year’s experience in a related field. Requires good communication skills, knowledge of tribal governments, computer skills and possession of a valid driver’s license.
Compensation: This is a full-time non-exempt position. The hourly range for this position will be $14.85 to $16.39 (Annually: $30,877.72 to $34,083.22 annually). The tribe provides a comprehensive employee benefits package.
