Job Overview
Hall Community Services, Inc. has been a leading community-based provider since 1998. HCS currently offers both Mental Health Skill-Building and Psychosocial Rehabilitation services in and around the Roanoke Valley, as well as in the Staunton area. We are currently seeking Qualified Mental Health Professionals and Qualified Paraprofessionals in our Staunton office to provide comprehensive skills-training to adults with severe mental illness in the Harrisonburg and Timberville area to ensure their independence at home and in the community. We are offering a part-time position.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in a human service field, although Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees are preferred. Associate’s level clinicians will also be expected to complete additional training, and Bachelor’s and Master’s level clinician must obtain QMHP-A certification through the Virginia Board of Counseling. This position also requires a minimum of 1 years’ experience providing direct clinical care for clients who have been diagnosed with a mental illness. Exceptional clinical writing and verbal communication skills are also a must, as is experience working with diverse populations. A criminal background check, CPS background check, reliable transportation, and a good driving record are required.
