Overview
As the Construction Foreman for our Site Works Crew, you will assume a pivotal role in the successful execution of our land development and vertical projects. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and guide the Site Works Crew in all aspects of the construction process. The Site Works Crew Foreman is responsible for leading a small crew to complete a variety of essential tasks in land development and vertical construction. This hands-on leadership role requires expertise in site preparation, concrete work, minor carpentry, erosion control, and general construction support. The Site Works Crew Foreman ensures efficiency, safety, and quality while coordinating with project managers and superintendents to align work with overall project goals. This position requires adaptability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight. Effective communication will be essential as you collaborate closely with the project superintendents, engineers, and other teams to maintain project timelines, allocate resources efficiently, and manage unforeseen challenges. Moreover, you will champion a culture of safety by enforcing strict compliance with safety regulations and fostering a workspace where every team member prioritizes their well-being.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee a small crew, assigning daily tasks and ensuring efficient execution.
- Perform and supervise site preparation, grading, cleanup, and material staging.
- Execute minor concrete work, including forming, pouring, and finishing pads, sidewalks, and curbs.
- Perform light framing, carpentry, and temporary structure installation as needed.
- Install and maintain erosion control measures, culverts, and minor drainage solutions.
- Assist with trenching, conduit sleeve installation, and small-scale utility work.
- Operate small construction equipment, including skid steers, mini excavators, and compactors.
- Ensure proper signage, barricades, and traffic control measures on job sites.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials to ensure job site organization and efficiency.
- Enforce and adhere to company and OSHA safety regulations, conducting pre-task planning and site inspections.
- Document and report work progress, hours worked, materials used, and site conditions.
- Perform onsite coordination of labor activities, materials, and equipment.
- Produce 3-week and longer-term schedules.
- Lead the crew to the successful completion of daily tasks and ultimately, quality projects.
- Request materials needed for scope of work.
- Assist in hiring crew and leads the training effort.
- Support safety procedures and regulations for assigned personnel and subcontractors.
- Understand daily production schedule and adjust work to meet schedule and cost parameters.
- Complete daily progress reports to be submitted to PM and Superintendent.
- Inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to ensure specifications are met.
- Produce quantity takeoffs and verifications.
- Perform additional assignments per management’s direction.
- Resolve onsite issues, if encountered.
- Work with project superintendent and PM to meet or exceed daily production goals through planning and productivity of workforce.
- Foster a positive working relationship with subcontractors and their personnel.
- Maintains knowledge of Company’s values and strategic plan.
Skills
- 3-5 years of construction experience, with prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of site development, concrete work, carpentry, and general construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Proficiency in operating small construction equipment and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing conditions.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various outdoor conditions.
- Recognize hazards and safety risks.
- Demonstrated high attention to detail.
- Organizational and leadership skills.
- Developed skills (written, oral, and listening) in order to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously under time constraints.
- Proven problem-solving abilities.
Please note, this job will be working jobs throughout Colorado. Mead is the location of a current job but it will not be a set location.
The position will be given a Company Truck for transporation.

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
