What You’ll Do:
As a Purchasing Specialist, you’ll play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly. From managing procurement and vendor negotiations to ensuring financial accuracy, your expertise will help drive efficiency and growth. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:
- Daily Order Processing: Consolidate orders from all departments, send purchase orders to suppliers before cutoffs, and produce cut/pull lists to fulfill Department orders efficiently.
- Streamline Purchasing & Inventory Management: Oversee procurement, maintain optimal stock levels, and negotiate the best deals with vendors.
- Ensure Financial Accuracy: Handle reconciliations, track expenses, and maintain cash flow records with precision.
- Accounting Support: Ensure invoices are entered correctly into the QuickBooks system and process payments in a timely manner.
- Optimize Order Processing: Manage work orders, update databases, and keep operations seamless.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Communicate with suppliers, sales staff, and accounting teams to keep everything on track.
- Leverage Technology: Work with MRP system, QuickBooks, Excel, and our custom ordering software (CMAC) to keep financial and purchasing processes efficient.
What We’re Looking For:
- Procurement & Supply Chain Experience: Proven experience in procurement, supply chain management, and accounting support, with a strong understanding of retail, commericial and manufacturing materials replenishment.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and QuickBooks. Ability to quickly learn and utilize our frame ordering software (CMAC) as well as proficient with MRP system.
- Analytical Expertise: Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate processes and financial tracking.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, able to collaborate across teams and maintain clear customer interactions along with quick response time with vendors
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Self-Starter: Motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision, taking ownership of responsibilities.
- Eagerness to Learn: An interest in the art and framing business, with a drive to expand your knowledge and skills in this field.
