SENIOR AVIATION UNDERWRITER

Position Summary
The individual works under general supervision to underwrite aviation insurance accounts and to market aviation insurance products to our producing agents
Job Description
- Receive, analyze and evaluate aviation insurance account submissions.
- Using company guidelines, apply appropriate rules and rates to prepare and release insurance quotations for aviation risks.
- Accept (bind) or decline risks on behalf of the company with limits up to $3,000,000
- Communicate with the company's producing agents to service new and in force accounts.
- Market the company's aviation insurance products to current and new producing agents. Some travel required.
Individual is required to perform the duties outlined above within company guidelines and individual underwriting authority with little or no direct supervision. Risks that fall outside of standard guidelines or individual underwriting authority must be approved by a supervisor.
