SUMMARY
The intern within the Programming department on the Scripted Series team will assist the entire department. The purpose of the role is to gain knowledge in both Development and Current series production. The role fits into the Programming department overall to offer students a wealth of knowledge gained by a day-to-day participation in the process. We hope to encourage growth and opportunities for those with aspirations of a potential career in the entertainment industry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read script or book submissions and provide detailed coverage.
- Read current development projects and shadow internal notes discussions.
- Join departmental meetings to observe and learn.
- Organize and update writer and director databases as necessary.
- May be called upon for TBD special projects.
- Watch dailies and cuts and join internal discussions.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- A rising junior or recent graduate from a four-year university.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Soft skills and personal characteristics.
- Knowledge of Brand and awareness of programming.
The hourly rate for this job is $17.27. Hourly rate will take into consideration several factors including location.
