Job Description Overview

As a Territory Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of Retail Merchandisers within a specific geographic area. Your primary goal will be to ensure that card departments and outposts are well-maintained and up-to-date with both everyday and seasonal products.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervising the Team

• Manage a team of approximately 5-10 Retail Merchandisers, guaranteeing timely execution of daily and seasonal programs.
• Document and manage performance with regular feedback and input from managers.
• Handle retailer concerns, retail execution issues, and merchandiser performance problems by working with store management, merchandisers, or your manager.
• The work is typically conducted during Monday through Friday daytime or early evening hours.
• Weekend work may be required during major holiday periods.

Department Remodels and Resets

• Prepare, direct, and follow up on minor installations involving resetting product, building fixtures, and merchandising product.
• Lead or participate in significant installations when business exceptions require additional support.
• Major installations could involve moving the card department, constructing fixtures, and merchandising product.

A Strong Leader

To be successful as a Territory Supervisor, you must possess strong leadership skills, be able to motivate individuals, and demonstrate the ability to follow through on commitments. You should also be a change champion who can effectively manage change and lead others through it. Additionally, you must be organized, manage your time well, and perform administrative tasks. Building strong customer relationships is also essential.

Physical Requirements

This position requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You will be working on the selling floor and in back stockrooms. You must be able to consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday and up to 50 pounds occasionally. You will also be required to stoop, squat, walk, and stand throughout your workday, and you may need to climb stairs and step ladders.
