What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Clinical Services - Residential position at HALLMARK YOUTHCARE RICHMOND INC?
The Clinical Director is responsible for coordinating clinical services within residential treatment. Directly supervises Program Therapists, Care Coordinators, and contract services in psychology, as well as other clinical services. Responsible for the leadership and management of the program in collaboration with the Assistant Administrator and Medical Director. Assesses and evaluates program philosophy, goals, objectives, and treatment interventions, and implements evidenced-based strategies.
Establishes standards of practice for Program Therapists and Care Coordinators and ensures through supervision and monitoring that standards are maintained. Provides weekly clinical supervision for license eligible Program Therapists. Provides and documents monthly supervision for licensed Program Therapists, including analysis of Interdepartmental Programming that includes monitoring and evaluating work activities, and development of activities such as coaching, instructing, demonstrating and counseling as related to job functions. Provides and documents weekly departmental meetings.
Responsible for the oversight of Program Therapists’ sessions and ensures that therapists successfully complete documentation of individual sessions, group sessions, family therapy sessions, family engagement notes and a case management notes, for each resident that meets agency and Medicaid guidelines. Ensures documentation is completed and signed on the day of services provided, and complies with regulatory guidelines and Hallmark policies.
Responsible for the coordination and implementation of program specific Standards of Practice and Standards of Care, ensures compliance with the requirements of all bodies and accreditation agencies.
Education Requirements: Master’s degree in social work, psychology or counseling and must provide official transcripts from the accredited college or university of attendance within 30 days of hire.
Work Experience Requirements: A minimum of five years professional experience in the mental health field with a minimum of two years demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience preferred.
