What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal/Administrative Assistant position at Hallock & Hallock, a professional corporation?
Our boutique estate planning and family business succession law firm is looking for a team member who will provide legal and administrative support. This is a part-time (20-25 hours/week) position. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. This job is in person during office hours. Compensation will be $18-$20 per hour, based on experience. Responsibilities will include:
- Answer and route incoming calls on a multi-line telephone system
- Communicate information to potential new clients and existing clients (in-person and via phone, email, and text)
- Schedule appointments
- Assist with document drafting
- Assist as needed in client meetings and document signings
- Review financial and other information provided by clients and input into H&H system
- Welcome clients and visitors to our office
- Maintain the waiting area, lobby & other public areas
Candidate Must-Haves:
- Positive, friendly, and helpful attitude
- Strong communication skills – written, in-person, and on the telephone
- Attention to detail
- Willing to learn new skills, adapt easily, and work as a team
- Professional, polished demeanor
- Dependable and trustworthy
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
Other Helpful Skills:
- Experience working at an Estate Planning/Business Planning/Probate law firm
- Experience dealing with legal descriptions for real property
- Experience dealing with financial documents
- Experience with Practice Panther or Wealth Docx/Business Docx Drafting Software
- Experience with Idaho, Utah, or Arizona business filings
- Experience with Idaho, Utah, or Arizona court E-Filings
