What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marine Storage Warehouse/Boat yard Operations Coordinator position at Halls Sport Center?
A Yard Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring that the yard operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies and regulations. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Yard Organization:
- Plan and implement efficient yard layouts to optimize space utilization.
- Ensure that materials, equipment, and vehicles are stored, stacked, or positioned in a manner that allows for easy access and retrieval.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement or warehouse teams for replenishment as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the yard area.
2. Equipment Maintenance:
- Schedule and oversee routine maintenance and repair of yard equipment and vehicles.
- Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and compliant with safety standards.
- Report equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs.
3. Inventory Management:
- Track incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery and shipment of goods.
- Perform regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and address them.
4. Customer Service:
- Assist customers and suppliers with inquiries, requests, and order pickups as necessary.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through efficient and organized yard operations.
Other Qualifications:
- Operating a forklift to move boats and other materials
- Clean driving record
- Marine warehouse experience NEEDED.
