The Hallsville School District is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to serve as the Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach for the 2025-2026 school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leading a competitive program that emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for the varsity girls' basketball team.
- Lead practices, drills, and conditioning sessions to enhance player performance.
- Prepare strategies for games, including analyzing opponents and assigning player roles.
- Foster a positive environment that promotes teamwork, discipline, and respect.
- Collaborate with the athletic director and school administration on scheduling and program development.
- Maintain open communication with players, parents, and staff.
- Ensure adherence to all school and league policies and regulations.
- Supervise assistant coaches and support staff.
- Support the implementation of PBIS strategies to promote positive behavior and a safe, respectful learning environment for students.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and administrators.
- Experience in coaching basketball is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 60 college credit hours.
- Successful completion of background checks.
