Hi there, we're Halo Braid.
We are a Protective Hair Technology company bringing innovation and efficiency to the beauty industry. We are funded by the investors and founders behind incredible consumer companies such as MongoDB, Beats Electronic, and Zola. Our founders are serial entrepreneurs that have brought 20 successful hardware products to market and bring experience from Apple, Rivian, and Amazon Robotics.
Our mission is to create joy in people’s lives by engineering healthier and happier hair. We are a diverse small team of passionate engineers, with experience bringing innovative new products to the world.
We are currently based in Boston, Massachusetts working in the Harvard Innovation Lab.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our first product is an AI-powered hair braiding robot that helps stylists reduce braiding time from hours to minutes. Our product is nearing the end of R&D and we are growing the team to begin product development.
As the Technical Program Manager at Halo Braid, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering our innovative hair braider to market. You thrive in a startup or fast-paced environment, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are key. You enjoy rolling up your sleeves to drive critical engineering initiatives while prioritizing user needs. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with a dynamic founding team and collaborate across Design, Hardware, and Software.

Requirements
YOU HAVE
- Led multiple hardware development projects taking high quality products through production
- Owned project timelines, resource planning, and key milestones to keep initiatives on track
- Experience identifying and mitigating technical risks, and challenges in the product life cycle
- Experience and proven track record managing and coordinating complex, cross-functional projects successfully, working with both the internal team and external vendors
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships and influence others
- Leadership skills to lead and keep the project team focused and on track
- Excellent spoken and written communication with the ability to build and utilize relationships
- Attention to detail and are highly organized
- Ability to understand priorities and clarify direction
- Self motivated and hardworking with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
