Join us as a Patient Navigator specializing in imaging and Hereditary Cancer Testing. This position will be rotating to various sites throughout the Phoenix AZ area. Our Patient Navigators play a pivotal role in collaborating with our clinical team to provide an exceptional patient experience to a diverse patient population in an outpatient setting. Our ideal candidate has at least 2 years of recent medical assistant experience coordinating with a team of medical professionals and experience is insurance verifications and authorizations. Candidate must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Traveling up to 60 minutes to get to an SMI site to act as Navigator in the event a Nav is OOO.
- Travel 25-50% of their time
- Assist in training new Navigators coming onboard.
- Ability to drive to sites within 8-24 hour notice
- Genetics education for high-risk patients.
- Registration and scheduling follow up appointments for genetic testing.
- Collection of specimens for genetic testing.
- Liaison between patient, Radiologist, Pathologist, and Referring Physicians.
- Insurance verification and authorization.
- Maintain compassion and professional demeanor with patients in a fast-paced environment.
- Distribute positive genetic test results to referring physicians.
