This full-time opportunity has a Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm schedule and is located in Naples, FL. This position plays a pivotal role in collaborating with our partner and internal clinical team to provide an exceptional patient experience to a diverse patient population in an outpatient setting.

The Phlebotomist /Patient Navigator represents the face of our company to patients at our partner sites who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into precision diagnostics testing (genetic or colon cancer testing).
Responsibilities:
- Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
- Genetics education, testing and collection of saliva for high-risk patients that qualify
- Registration and scheduling follow up appointments for genetic testing.
- Interface with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
- Distribute negative genetic or colon cancer test results to referring physicians.
- Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
- Perform verification of patient demographic info / initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct.
- Maintains required records and documentation.
- Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.
- 2 years of recent medical assistant experience coordinating with a team of medical professionals, certification or registered medical assistant is preferred.
- Experience with insurance verifications/authorizations is required.
- Ability to provide quality, error free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills in collection of specimens, including blood draws, for genetic testing.
- Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which may include holidays, on-call and overtime.
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
- Must demonstrate superior customer focus; ability to communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors and patients; ability to accelerate and embrace change; and knowledge of our business.
- Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
- **must be bilingual in English and Spanish**
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred, and proven experience in blood collection is required.
- If your state requires certification, this is required. (NOTE: certification is required in California, Nevada, Washington, etc.).
- Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
- 2 years of recent medical assistant experience coordinating with a team of medical professionals, certification or registered medical assistant is preferred.
- Experience with insurance verifications/authorizations is required.
- Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
- Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
- The ability to save lives with early detection!
