- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all company hardware, with periodic reporting.
- Establish and document criteria for hardware replacement, refurbishment, and lifecycle management.
- Develop a structured plan for obsolescence and disposal (including backup and removal of Halocarbon data prior to disposal).
- Maintain a pool of spare equipment for emergencies or replacements (computers, tablets, monitors, and peripherals).
- Set up new PCs (currently outsourced to RocketIT) while exploring automation or in-house solutions to reduce costs. Partner with 3rd party on list of computer option with at least two options – heavy and non-heavy users.
- Maintain WiFi equipment and passwords.
- Collaborate with third-party firms for server maintenance, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
- Facilitate migration to hosted or cloud-based solutions to improve scalability and efficiency.
- Regularly audit server performance and optimize resource allocation.
- Manage third-party printer contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and service quality.
- Track printer usage to identify inefficiencies and optimize printer deployment.
- Maintain a centralized inventory of software licenses (e.g., Adobe, Power BI) with periodic compliance checks.
- Manage software needs across all functions of the organization. Providing updates and license renewals that align with business goals.
- Act as the primary liaison with AT&T for telecom services.
- Maintain telecom equipment (primary and secondary) with proactive monitoring.
- Prompt resolution of technology outages.
- Develop and maintain external networks with IT professionals and IT service providers to troubleshoot and resolve technology issues, and seek to develop sustainable solutions.
- Review monthly telecom invoices (including cellular) to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Define specific responsibilities in Datacor ERP (Formerly Chempax) based on current usage or transition plans to a hosted solution.
- B.S. in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Leadership skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong trouble shooting skills and the ability to collaborate with external tech providers.
- Ensure 98% or higher network uptime through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
- Conduct regular IT audits to identify inefficiencies or security vulnerabilities in partnership with third parties when needed.
- Provide end-user technical support via a tiered helpdesk system for faster issue resolution.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies (e.g., AI, cloud solutions) and implement them strategically.
- The ability to interface with all departments while fostering a collaborative environment within the Augusta team to share knowledge and improve problem-solving efficiency.
- Participate in strategic discussions with third-party vendors on IT structure, cybersecurity, and compliance strategies.
- Implement vendor recommendations where feasible to minimize costs while maintaining quality.
- Ensure accountability by establishing clear service-level agreements (SLAs) with vendors.
- Partner with internal teams to streamline workflows using tools like Excel, Power BI, ODBC, or automation platforms.
- Prioritize improvement projects based on impact assessments conducted by the IT management group.
