Role Description
This is a contract Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant role. The position is on-site in Western Lake Worth, FL working with an Adult population. Our goal is to keep the community we serve independent and actively participating in their lives. You will provide Occupational Therapy physical rehabilitation services to patients who have physical impairments and functional limitations from injury, accident, or disease. We work in collaboration with members of the PT team when appropriate. In the role of COTA you will also provide ongoing patient education, family education, safety and HEP education. You will be expected to complete treatment notes daily, and maintain up to date client records. We use the community fitness gym and private fully-equipped treatment rooms. You will be assigned patients who you will be expected to treat 2 - 3x/week until discharge, per treatment plan. We are looking for someone who is very responsible, as you will handle all of your own scheduling, and re-scheduling, and respond to changes promptly. Treatment hours are mainly Monday through Friday between 9am and 5pm (other hours/weekends if you and your client agree to such). Caseload varies based on need.

Qualifications
- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Valid and Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) License in good standing in the state of Florida
- CPR/BLS certification
- Must have current Professional Liability Insurance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in the English language
- Strong clinical documentation skills in the English language
- Ability to work effectively alone and communicate with team when necessary
- Experience in Occupational Therapy Out-patient or ALF/ILF settings
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
- Computer Skills: Knowledge of WebPT documentation a plus
- Must have your own Laptop or Desktop (tablet app not used for EMR platform)
- Ability to maintain a variable work schedule depending on a variable case-load per season
- This is a Contract position
