Position Summary:
Supervises warehouse and/ or production activities and personnel. Assigns staff and monitor the flow of products through the plant. Make recommendations for process improvement.

Essential Functions:
- Ensures operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming receipts and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of products, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
- Inspects the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment. Communicates the need for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment.
- Collaborates with other distribution centers and business leaders to ensure coordination of all business.
- Participates in employee safety and plant protection activities.
- Provides leadership, ensures adherence to company practices and procedures, applies corrective action when needed.
- Interviews, trains, and retains staff. Conducts performance monitoring of staff, initiates follow through with disciplinary action when appropriate for the department. Mentors, motivates, and develops staff and serves as a role model and resource to them
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Must be able to read, analyze, present, and interpret written documentation.

- Must have a good understanding of USDA regulations.
- Ability to solve business problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule formats.
- Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the start-up, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.
