Standup Forklift Operator
2:15pm-10:30pm weekdays
Responsible for a variety of warehouse duties which includes but is not limited to bringing pallets of raw materials to the packaging lines, removing finished product pallets from the packaging lines, counting and putting away raw materials, filling customer orders, loading and unloading trucks, and keeping the warehouse organized in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security and productivity.
Job Duties
- Ensure that all finished goods are put away and scanned into the proper bin location
- Follow production schedule and pull raw materials accordingly
- Pick all raw materials on a FIFO basis
- Count, label, and put away raw materials
- Execute the cycle counting program
- Maintain inventory areas for proper storage and FIFO rotation
- Perform computer related tasks in the warehouse management system
- Prepare bills of lading; check items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct
- Receive and unload incoming materials and compare information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment
- Inspect shipments for damages or defects; record discrepancies or damage, and notify Supervisor
Requirements
- High school, GED or equivalent
- Ability to operate a stand up and sit down forklift
- Ability to use computer tablet and hand held scanner
- Able to stand for an 8 hour shift
- Able to lift 50 pounds on an occasional basis
- Strong work history dates
