Assist Library staff in general library duties, including customer service, checking out materials, collecting fines and returning materials to shelves. Processes material to be transferred between libraries, order supplies and materials. 15-19 hours weekly (evenings and Saturdays)
Examples of Duties:
- Provides customer service by checking out materials, notifying patrons of ordered materials, collecting fines, and making new library cards.
- Processes materials by returning materials to shelves, checking shelving for accuracy and shipping and receiving books.
- Assist patrons in person and on the phone; assist in locating materials and with library technology
Typical Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. Customer service experience preferred but the ability to learn library filing systems is required.
