Job Overview
We are seeking a bilingual, detail-oriented and organized Scheduling Coordinator to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing appointments and ensuring efficient scheduling for our team and our patients. You will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This position requires strong communication skills, with some familiarity with dental terminology, and proficiency in various software systems. Responsibilities include but not limited to answering phones, , checking patients in and out, collecting payments, verifying insurance, correspondence to other doctors and discussing treatment plans with patients.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage patient appointments, ensuring optimal scheduling for both patients and providers.
- Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Answer multi-line phone system
- Complete and process patient paperwork
- Work in a fast pace environment.
- Provide administrative support to the clinical team, including handling patient inquiries and confirming appointments.
- Collaborate with dental professionals to streamline scheduling processes and improve patient flow.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with health information management regulations.
- Ensure all scheduling activities comply with organizational policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in dental software is preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, health information management, and dental coding practices is essential.
- Familiarity with medicaid/insurance coding is a plus.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate various software applications efficiently.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Previous experience in dental administrative support or a related field is desirable but not mandatory.
