Halvik is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our Human Resources team. The HRBP will work closely with the Strategic HR & Employee Engagement Director to drive talent management and employee engagement initiatives that align with business objectives. The HRBP will partner with leaders and managers across the business, serving as a trusted advisor, for all people-related needs to deliver results. This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but will serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
The HRBP will be responsible for:
- Partner with leaders to understand business needs and to execute talent strategies by building strong relationships through regular meetings and communication. Serve as a trusted advisor.
- Implement and support HR programs including performance management, compensation planning, engagement surveys, succession planning, coaching & development, and internal policies & procedures. Deliver training to employees as needed throughout the year to ensure success of HR programs.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Review and analyze HR metrics associated with employee engagement and retention to identify trends, measure the impact of HR initiatives, and recommend solutions for improvement.
- Provide guidance and effectively influence leadership to ensure policies, procedures, employment laws and regulations are followed and applied consistently to reduce legal risk.
- Collaborate with other business functions as needed to provide information and expertise on people-related matters.
- Participate in other cross-team and cross-organizational HR projects as needed.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8 years of progressive HR experience with at least 5 years as an HRBP supporting business leaders and employees.
- Proven experience in talent management and resolving complex employee relations issues. Working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines including, employee engagement, performance management, compensation planning, coaching & development, and federal and state respective employment laws.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, organizational, and communication (both verbal and written) skills with attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Preferred:
- Has experience working in a government contracting environment.
- HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP)
- Experience with HRIS platforms, preferably ISolved.
