Halvik is looking for a Functional Logistics Specialist for a long-term role in Arlington, VA to provide analytical and technical support to Field Services and Mortuary Affairs programs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to refine and publish policy, programs, and procedures for Mortuary Affairs and Field Service operations, to include Contaminated Human Remains.
- Consolidate and monitor DD Forms 1748-1 Joint Airdrop Inspection Record (Containers), DD Forms 1748-2 Joint Airdrop Malfunction Report, DD Form 1748-3 Joint Airdrop Summary Record, and DD Form 1748-8 Joint Precision Airdrop System (JPADS) 10k, and provide to the G-4.
- Attend, coordinate, and participate in the Airdrop Malfunction and Safety Analysis Review Board, Static Line Review Board and the Army Airborne Board, and provide feedback to Senior Logistics Leaders.
- Collect, provide, and analyze data to provide support to the DCS, G-4 in all areas of Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE) management to include under contingency operations.
- Provide analytical and technical support to OCIE initiatives. Analyze existing policies and publications-AR 700-84 (Issue and Sale of Personal Clothing), AR 32-5 (Introduction of New Clothing and Textile Items into the DoD Supply Systems), AR 710-2, (OCIE Chapter) (Inventory Policy Below the Wholesale Level), and AR 670-1 (Wear and Appearance of Army Uniform and Insignia)
- -to provide recommendations to the government lead for input and updates for the management of Class II CIE (personal and OCIE) including chemical protective clothing including but not limited to chemical over-garment, shoes, and gloves.
- Assist the government lead in execution of the Army Uniform Board (AUB). This includes assisting with resolving issues regarding changes and additions to the clothing bag, mess, dress, service, and optional purchase uniform items and making recommendations to the CSA for decision.
- Assist in the development of plans and policy formulation for management of Army Military Clothing Sales Stores (AMCSS), Clothing Initial Issue Points, and Central Issue Facilities (CIF).
- Provide support to the development and analysis of required clothing, OCIE and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosive (CBRNE) lists to make package recommendations to inform requirements for Military Personnel, Army (MPA) and Operations and Maintenance, Army (OMA) appropriation through the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process.
- Assist with the clothing and OCIE reform efforts to transition from a brick-and-mortar Soldier equipping process to a web based/automated ordering and delivery system. Coordinate with AMC, Army Sustainment Command (ASC), TACOM, TRADOC, and ACOM. Assist with the development of polices for transition and update policies and procedures as required.
- Coordinate with the U.S. Army Force Management Support Agency (USAFMSA) on CTA 50-900 (Tables 1,2, & 3) Clothing Bag authorizations and CTA 50-900 (Tables 4,5, & 6) OCIE authorized changes.
- Maintain a Continuity Book that provides business rules, guidelines, procedures, and points of contact.
Requirements:
- DoD Secret Clearance
- 5-10 years of operational experience planning/executing military logistics and supply programs.
- Experience at the most senior levels of the Army
