General Job Description:
The Maintenance Manager directs and manages all industrial and facilities maintenance operations with overall responsibility for the Maintenance team and plant maintenance.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of Facilities and Industrial Maintenance
- Conduct and train employees on preventative and corrective equipment maintenance.
- Manage maintenance technicians across all shifts.
- Complete and track work orders as required to properly document all maintenance performed.
- Ensure all work involving food contact surfaces are properly cleaned, documented, and approved by Quality.
- Ensure all maintenance chemicals used are food grade and authorized for use.
- Ordering of parts and services by using CC or requesting Purchase Order number
- Maintaining and continually improving a preventative maintenance schedule, including annual services and inspections
- Keep up to date Calibrations records for all sensors, including semi-annual calibration for CCP’s.
- Ensure metal detector is working properly and calibrated semi-annually.
- Maintain boilers appropriately to ensure a passing semi-annual inspection and monthly chemical inspections.
- Maintain all forklifts, man-lifts, pallet jacks, and a bus.
- Repair electrical issues up to 600VAC.
- Repair and maintain all conveyors, hoppers, peeler, dicer, blancher, finisher, buster, aseptic systems, fillers, microwaves, cooling tower, boilers, and air compressor.
- Work with vendors to ensure all timelines are met and cost is kept low.
- Track all maintenance costs per piece of equipment per month.
- Track all downtime per equipment per month.
- Use cost analysis and equipment downtime documents to analyze potential fail points and areas that require improvement.
- Keep a positive relationship with vendors to ensure fast and efficient support.
Minor Duties and Responsibilities:
- Track maintenance employee’s tardiness and absentees
- Provide leadership and training to maintenance employees
- Compete hiring process and termination process as needed
- Ensure roof access is locked and not opened without direct permission
- Assist in Internal audit program to keep facility in good condition
- Assist in all audits to answer all maintenance questions and show reports
- Work with production and quality to ensure Yamco is producing a quality product with as little downtime as possible.
Key Competencies:
- Lift 50 pounds
- Willing to work in a group or individually
- Understand basics of electricity
- Understand basic Motor and Pump functions
- Knowledge in Flex drives and PLC repair
- Willing to work on call 24/7
- Understands GMP, HACCP, and Better Process
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
