Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Join our compassionate team as a part-time after-school Direct Support Professional (DSP) and be a crucial part of transforming lives. We're on the lookout for individuals dedicated to making a positive impact on individuals with varying levels of neurodivergent and/or intellectual disabilities. As a DSP, your role involves guiding and supporting daily activities, ensuring safety, and fostering a nurturing atmosphere. You'll help our clients connect with their community and provide personalized support.

This client needs help learnign to be more independent and being shown how to handle emotions appropriately. This position is in Hartsdale, NY.

Schedule:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 4-6pm

Your responsibilities will include:

- Mentoring and assisting clients in their daily activities.

- Creating a safe and nurturing environment for both clients and staff.

- Building positive relationships with clients and colleagues.

- Utilizing strong interpersonal skills to make a difference.

Qualifications:

- 1 year of professional caregiving experience is required.

- Prior experience with individuals with neurodivergent and/or intellectual disabilities is preferred.

- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

- A clean driver's license is preferred

- Successful completion of a background check and fingerprinting is required.
