JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
The Event Lead position is responsible for ensuring the success of assigned events while providing high-quality catering service. Job responsibilities include oversight of event staff and ensuring event outcome exceeds client expectations. Specific responsibilities are subject to change.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining quality control of service and food during events by practicing Hamby standards and always representing the company in the best way.
- Directing and leading event staff while ensuring proper service, appearance, and conduct. Hold lineups to go over timelines, uniform checks, assign task.
- Delegating tasks to event staff before, during, and after service. Such as passing food, loading/unloading equipment, water service, table setting, food station setup/breakdown, etc.
- Working with event producers and event staff to create service plans for events to ensure all events proceed as planned: following floor layouts, adhering to timelines, and ensuring food stations and dinner tables are set up properly.
- Address and resolve client questions and requests in a timely manner by communicating with Event Producers
- Ensuring staff are clocked in and out at the proper time on the Nowsta app.
- Communication of event outcome by filling out lead log and/or prep list for each event.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to lift items up to thirty pounds individually. Any item 30 to 50 pounds will require a coworker assistance.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Previous food and beverage or hospitality experience preferred, but not required.
- Candidate must be able to work mornings, nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Event Lead must provide their own uniform which consists of a Black long sleeve button down, black dress pants, black belt, black tie, striped bistro apron, black socks, and all black non-slip shoes.
COMPENSATION:
The Event Lead is a part-time, on-call, hourly position. Compensation is dependent upon experience. Working hours are monitored by the Director of Operations and Staffing Coordinator and are dependent upon business demands.
Qualifications
Previous food and beverage or hospitality experience required. Previous managerial experience preferred. Candidate must be able to work mornings, nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.
