is seeking an experienced Recreation Assistant to join our team!
Full-Time 32 hours including every other weekend.

Hamden Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is a 153-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility situated in Hamden, Connecticut. We specialize in short- and long-term care and have a secure memory care unit. We are located right in the heart of New Haven County, in close proximity to Yale New Haven Hospitals, yet conveniently only seconds from route 10, which runs throughout New Haven County.

Qualifications
- The Recreation Assistant must possess a high school diploma.
- TRD preferred, but not necessary
- Dementia Care experience preferred
- The Recreation Assistant must have basic computer skills.
- The Recreation Assistant Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- The Recreation Assistant must possess personal integrity and maintain the confidentiality of resident and personnel data.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently throughout the day.
- Ability to cope with mental and emotional stress. Ability to function independently, be flexible, and work effectively with residents, families, personnel, consultants, and vendors.
- Ability to relate to and work with disabled, ill, elderly, emotionally upset, and or hostile people within the facility.

Pay: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour
