Our client, a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) in Tennessee, is seeking a skilled and motivated Level 2 Technician to join their growing team. This is a remote position, but the ideal candidate must be able to travel to client sites around the Memphis area as needed. As an MSP, they support a wide range of industries and are looking for a technician with solid troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with networks, servers, and other IT infrastructure.
Due to growth throughout their Memphis, Jackson & Nashville office, we are looking for a Tier 2 Engineer to join a growing team!
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 configuration and support for client environments, including network, server, and workstation issues.
- Network Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network-related issues such as connectivity problems, routing issues, and configuration errors (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Server Management: Assist in the management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Windows and Linux servers, including Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, and other core server applications.
- Incident Management: Manage and escalate tickets within the service management platform (e.g., ConnectWise, ServiceNow, or similar), ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Ensure clients' data is securely backed up and assist with disaster recovery tasks when necessary.
- Client Communication: Maintain professional communication with clients regarding the status of issues, next steps, and resolution timelines.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and related network protocols.
- Experience with Windows Server (2012/2016/2019), Active Directory, and Office 365 environments.
- Familiarity with VMware or Hyper-V, as well as basic virtualization and cloud concepts.
- Strong customer service and communication abilities.
- Manage and configure Meraki Dashboard for wireless, switching, and security devices.
- Configure and support network routing, switching, and security protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, VLANs, ACLs, VPNs) in a Cisco environment.
