Position Summary
This position manages clinical, primary care, nursing, billing, and coding functions as assigned and based on guidelines established by HRSA for a Federally Qualified Health Clinic. Maintains and ensures quality nursing standards are available and applied throughout Hamilton Center, Inc. at all times.

This position directly supervises nurses in the Federally Qualified Health Center LookAlike. Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Hamilton Center’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
- Up to 5% 401K contribution
- Up to 2% dollar for dollar match on 401K

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

- Provides direct supervision for all nursing and related functions including support of primary care services, billing, and coding.
- Oversees hiring, evaluating, counseling, coaching and scheduling to ensure high quality care is delivered consistently.
- Assure Hamilton Center’s compliance with nursing standards and regulations set forth by accrediting bodies, grantors, and government.
- Assure nursing care standards, standards of practice policies, procedures and protocol are adhered to.
- Assure that all nursing staff are competent to fulfill their assigned responsibilities.
- Assure that the nursing care needs of all Hamilton Center patients are assessed, evaluated and met.
- Assure there are sufficient qualified Nursing staff to meet the nursing care needs of the patient.
- Assure implementation of an effective and ongoing program to monitor, evaluate and improve the quality of nursing care delivered to all patients of Hamilton Center, Inc.
- Ability to demonstrate competent use of electronic medical record.
- Conduct nursing staff meetings
- Provide consultation regarding nursing practices at Hamilton Center Inc.
- Participate in the admissions process in order to coordinate patient requirements for nursing care with the available nursing resources.
- Participate in management meetings, medical staff meetings and staff meetings in other clinical areas to ensure professional nursing input in the decision-making processes of the Center.
- Participate in the development of Hamilton Center's mission, strategic plans, budgets, resource allocation, operation plans, and policies.
- Participate along with other leaders of the Center in planning, promoting, and conducting center-wide quality monitoring and improvement activities.
- Promote the recruitment, retention, development and continuing education of nursing staff members.
- Participate in the evaluating, selecting and integrating of healthcare technology and information systems that support patient care needs and the utilization of nursing resources.
- Actively participates and maintains The Joint Commission, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and all other Accreditation service standards.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with members of the community, other human service providers and employees of the Center.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (Registered Nurse) in nursing or related field preferred Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in nursing administration and/or dedicated leadership experience in nursing.
- Knowledge and skills in nursing care and patient management.
- Supervisory skills such as personnel management, fiscal management, facility management, clinical supervision, public relations, analysis, interpretation, evaluation, interpersonal skills and teaching/training methodology.
- A thorough knowledge of TJC, CMS, OSHA and HRSA regulations and all state and federal regulatory standards.
- Willingness to use personal transportation in work capacity.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Indiana State Board of Nursing
- Valid Driver’s License in accordance with motor vehicle policy
- Maintain current CPR certification
- Maintain current crisis prevention/intervention certification
