Food Service Worker - Elementary Food Prep

The employee will be on their feet throughout most of the shift. Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

- Prepare and cook food items for serving lines.
- Clean and prepare fruits and vegetables for service.
- Interact daily with students.
- Operate a cash register and manage daily cash transactions.
- Clean up serving lines and lunch tables after service.
- Maintain production records.
- Assist with end-of-day cleaning, including dishwashing and floor maintenance.
Requirements:
- 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work well with students, staff, and others in a positive manner.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Independence and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Team-oriented and able to pass food safety certification course every five years.
