The Hamilton County Communications Center is dedicated to providing efficient and accurate emergency response services. In this role, you play a vital role in emergency response and public safety.
The 911 Operator (Communications Officer) position is the first point of contact for individuals facing a variety of emergencies - including medical emergencies and criminal situations. This position requires individuals who can remain calm under pressure, make quick and critical decisions, and effectively communicate with callers during high-stress situations. You will be called to respond swiftly to unpredictable situations and be tasked with maintaining your composure when faced with callers who may be emotional or panicked. You will make critical decisions that impact the safety and well-being of individuals in distress. While the job is challenging, the sense of purpose and the opportunity to save lives make it incredibly rewarding.

Candidates with prior 911 Call Center experience may have the opportunity to bypass the 10-12 week training program to have an immediate impact in our community. Please be sure to include this relevant experience on your resume and / or application.
