Requirements (Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification):
- Associate's Degree in Computer Technology with five (5) years' experience or a Bachelor Degree in Computer Technology with three (3) years of experience in an information technology setting with strong technology skills or training and/or experience in computer practices and procedures which indicates an advanced knowledge of automated/computer systems, website design and updating.
- Experience which indicates a general knowledge of data base management and spreadsheet applications.
- Experience with some of the following computer languages: (SQL, VBA, VB, VB.net, Dept. Web Design – HTML, ASP, JAVA, scripting) and software: (Access, SQL Management Studio, Visual Studio).
- Must possess and maintain auto liability insurance.
- Employees work indoors and are protected from weather conditions or contaminants, but not necessarily occasional temperature changes.
- Performs custom data extracts, reports, and statistics. Query data for exception reports, to identify software issues, procedural issues, and user noncompliance issues.
- Query data for statistical and administrative purposes.
- Revises and updates programs/operation systems for new releases; troubleshoots and debugs programs; ensures programs are meeting defined needs; monitors and manages the agency's system design.
- Provides assistance and training to end users for program explanation and operation (JCMS, Microsoft Office & GroupWise Application as required).
- Assists with developing and implementing procedures for operation and maintenance of management systems; analyzes automation requirements for information systems; oversees daily operation of information systems.
- Documentation of business rules, requirements, configurations, and troubleshooting processes.
- Manages portions of agency's database system (e.g., updates and changes system fields; sets-up preventative maintenance schedules; tests for accuracy; assists administrative personnel in establishing goals and developing plans; Manages and updates department website as required.
- Development and maintenance; contacts vendor(s) to obtain information or software and resolves problems.

- Must possess intermediate analytical skills/abilities, which include: Debugging & problem resolution. Statistical interpretation of data.
- Must possess advanced clerical/administrative skills/abilities, which include: Advanced MS office usage. Advances PC skills.
- Must possess intermediate computer/technical skills/abilities, which include: Advanced MS Office/VBA, Web Design, IIS & SQL Server Management, VB/VB.net programming, hardware configuration, O/S configuration, Registry manipulation, Scripting, Automation/Batch, SQL, ETL processes, Database structure.
- Must possess intermediate project/process management skills/abilities, which include: Ability to track outstanding projects and system changes. Identify Priorities. Document changes.
- Must possess intermediate written and oral communication skills/abilities, which include: Ability to translate multiple perspectives and gather information then communicate back to everyone what needs have be established. Ability to communicate highly technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Must possess intermediate knowledge skills/abilities, which include: Understanding network configurations and communication technologies.
