The purpose of this classification is to provide district technology training in the areas of software and device support.
Responsibilities
- Identify training and development needs within the district.
- Facilitate training using techniques that maximize learner participation, comprehension and application of the material.
- Collaborate with school-based and district personnel on technology planning and curriculum integration.
- Create, implement and evaluate training material.
- Identify and facilitate the writing of potential grants to support technology integration.
- Research new technologies for classroom learning.
- Offer advice and support to staff and the IT team to implement and develop new ideas and modifications to existing software utilization.
- Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees and principals.
- Recommend controls by identifying problems.
- Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information.
- Provide user technical support.
- Work collaboratively with administrators, faculty, and staff.
- Attend work regularly and arrive to work on time.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Adhere to the Teacher Code of Ethics.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary or as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge/Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher required.
- Eight (8) years of successful experience teaching computer-related classes preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft and Apple software products required.
- Experience with instructional design for online content preferred.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with technical and non-technical users.
- Experience in developing high quality training materials.
- Skill providing technical support and training to staff and end users.
- Experience in the execution of learning and development strategies.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
