To provide small group and/or individual instruction in related art content areas.
Thrasher Elementary is a K-5 school located on Signal Mountain, TN. Our school is a community school on 17 wooded acres, an active PTA and parental involvement, as well as an education foundation. Our involved community appreciates our faculty and staff, and our teachers appreciate a collaborative environment with teacher autonomy.
We are looking for teachers with compelling nature who are willing to go above and beyond for kids. In addition, we are looking for teachers who are collaborative, take initiative, and are experts in best practices.
Responsibilities
- Provides supplemental instruction and support to selected students.
- Attends training in the appropriate model(s) implemented in the school.
- Keeps accurate records of student work and academic support provided.
- Provides classroom teacher(s) and/or administration with regular progress reports on students.
- Follows established procedures to ensure assigned areas are safe.
- Works collaboratively with administrators, faculty, and staff.
- Attends work and arrives to work on time.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Adheres to the Teacher Code of Ethics as defined by Tennessee Law.
- Complies with accounting and financial policies and procedures involving the handling of money and property, as well as other Board policies.
- Uses computers and other technology to enter and access information related to essential job functions.
- May operate a motor vehicle to conduct various work activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Education/Experience:
- Any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities for content area(s) to be addressed.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to deal effectively with students and staff.
Compensation:
- $20 per hour
