THIS IS A DEPARTMENTAL PROMOTIONAL POSTING OPPORTUNITY. ONLY CURRENT EMPLOYEES OF HAMILTON COUNTY RECYCLING DEPARTMENT WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.
Leads Tire Recovery Specialist; Oversees the day-to-day operation of the Tire Recovery Center; Assists public at the household recycling centers and collection of recyclables at various County offices and the County jail during all seasons and weather conditions; Assists in special recycling and Support Services Department projects.

Minimum Qualifications
The equivalent of a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license.
SAFETY SENSITIVE:
This position has been identified as “safety sensitive” under the definition of 49 CFR Part 40-Department of Transportation Workplace Drug and Alcohol Policy. This position will be subject to drug and alcohol testing for the following: 1) post offer pre-employment 2) when there is reasonable cause 3) after an on-the-job accident or contributing to an accident 4) on a random basis 5) prior to return to duty after suspension and/or 6) as follow-up. This is additional and also subject to the Rules and Regulations of The Employee Handbook.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Vigorous physical effort with full range of motion in an outdoor environment including, but not limited to: lifting, squatting, reaching, pulling, climbing, carrying, standing, and walking. Must have the ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.
STRENGTH

Work Conditions – Outdoor with exposure to rain, snow, extreme heat or cold, loud noises and fumes; Contact with metal, rubber, water, dirt, and grime.
