Internship Details
- Duration: Fall 2025 Semester (August – December)
- Hours: Approx. 25 hours per week (up to 300 total hours)
- Pay: $16/hour
- Location: Carmel, IN (some remote work possible)
Responsibilities
- Research and develop green itineraries and eco-friendly day trips to promote sustainable
- tourism to visitors.
- Assist with storytelling initiatives that highlight sustainability and accessibility efforts among Hamilton County’s tourism partners.
- Gather content about the White River. Help craft blogs and provide images for White River digital pages.
- Update event listings on the Discover White River online calendar.
- Provide support at community-focused events. Assist with logistics, table/booth set up, answer attendee questions, and tear down.
- Provide front desk support as needed, welcoming visitors and assisting with inquiries.
Qualifications
- Interest in sustainability, tourism, community engagement or communications
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently, but also collaborate in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable interacting with community partners, event attendees and general public
- Access to reliable transportation
- Ability to move up to 25 pounds for event set up and support
