What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor position at Hamilton Homebuilders?
The Production Supervisor reports directly to the Plant Manager and interfaces frequently with other departments including Safety, Quality, Maintenance and Human Resources.
Responsibilities include but not limited to the following.
- Successfully manage production process while attaining company goals as to safety and quality.
- Participate in new employee selection process.
- Train, develop and educate new and existing employees using “best practice” method for increased performance in safety, quality, and productivity to ensure all company standards are met.
- Supervise production employees in a proficient manner, providing motivation through example and interpersonal skills.
- Prioritize, schedule and delegates work assignments to gain greatest efficiency and productivity to eliminate waste.
- Able to enforce plant rules and safety regulations.
- Communicate with internal departments to resolve issues, achieve goals, and maximize resources.
- Handles all employee disciplinary issues, recommends action to take based on company’s disciplinary policy.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous supervisory experience with strong leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills- ability to think and act strategically.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Detailed oriented with great time management and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills.
