Your Additional Responsibilities Will Be To
- Address concerns and provide guidance on complex leave situations, including accommodations and progressive discipline related to absences.
- Provide comprehensive training to managers on leave policies, procedures, and legal requirements related to FMLA, ADA, and state regulations.
- Generate reports on leave usage trends, cost analysis, and potential areas for improvement.
- Analyze data to identify patterns and recommend process enhancements to optimize leave management.
- Conduct periodic audits to identify potential issues and ensure accurate leave usage calculations.
- Provide clear and timely information to employees regarding their leave options, eligibility and available benefits to support them during their leave.
- Assist in developing and implementing the company’s wellness strategy, programs, and initiatives.
- Track usage of benefits and propose and implement any solves for needed trends.
- Conduct market research and participate in surveys to stay updated on industry trends and competitive benefits offerings.
- Serve as level 2 contact for Hamilton Lane’s employee issues related to our benefits programs including health, welfare and retirement plans.
- Assist benefits team with required tasks related to finalizing and communicating global and US annual renewals.
- Associate’s Degree in HR or related field, but experience and other training/certification may be substituted for education.
- 5 to 7 years of managing leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ADA and Paid Parental leaves.
- Strong understanding of state and federal employment laws related to leave management.
- Ability to work independently to coordinate day to day operation and project work such as implementing new initiatives and vendors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees, managers, and healthcare providers.
- Proven ability to handle complex and sensitive situations with discretion and confidentiality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate challenging leave scenarios.
- Experience with benefits administration within a Human Resource Information System (Workday preferred but not required).
