Position Summary
Hamilton-Madison House is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Director to manage and oversee large-scale volunteer programs. This role will involve collaboration with three NORCs (Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities): Confucius Plaza, Smith, and Knickerbocker Village. The Volunteer Director will focus on identifying, cultivating, and leading a network of volunteers to support various programs and initiatives. Additionally, the Volunteer Director will oversee agency-wide initiatives, including projects such as "Get Out the Vote," Holiday Pantries, and other assignments as needed.
Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate all volunteer activities at the three designated NORCs (Confucius Plaza, Smith, and Knickerbocker Village).
Maintain accurate and up-to-date volunteer records, both in hard copy and digital formats, in alignment with Hamilton-Madison House (HMH) guidelines.
Support the volunteer recruitment process by partnering with external agencies and organizations to identify potential candidates.
Provide general administrative support, including preparing correspondence, forms, and reports, as well as composing routine communications.
Conduct orientations for new volunteers and ensure all necessary records are updated promptly.
Generate and submit detailed reports on volunteer activities, highlighting engagement and program impact
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and deliver impactful results.
Proficient in computer literacy, including email, Microsoft Office Suite, and various communication tools.
Outstanding organizational and time management abilities.
Demonstrated capability to multitask and adapt within fast-paced environments.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Bilingual proficiency in English and either Chinese or Spanish is highly preferred.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00AM to 5:00PM, 35 hours per week
Salary Range: $65,000 to $70,000 depending on qualifications and experience
