Job Description:
As a VDC Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the successful execution of large-scale construction projects, valued at $80M . You will be responsible for leading and managing the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) team, overseeing the implementation of BIM and other digital technologies to enhance project efficiency, quality, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development, coordination, and management of BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement and manage a variety of VDC technologies, including 3D modeling, 4D scheduling, 5D estimating, and virtual reality.
- Lead and mentor a team of VDC professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
- Collaborate closely with project teams, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel, to facilitate seamless information exchange and coordination.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges and issues related to BIM and VDC processes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
- 8 years of experience in VDC management or a similar role.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects.
- Strong understanding of BIM methodologies and standards.
- Proficiency in BIM software, such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
