Job Title : Self-Perform Concrete Senior Estimator Location : Austin, TexasSalary : $180K Attractive Bonus SchemeThe BusinessHamilton Mayer International is working in partnership with a highly sought-after general contractor offering innovative solutions to the commercial building sector in the US. With exciting growth plans already in place for Texas, the organisation is seeking a Self-Perform Senior Estimator with at least 5-8 years industry experience, predominantly in commercial construction.The RoleWill be hands on responsible for all estimating functions that may be required during preconstruction stages during a core bid period.Estimators will work primarily on negotiated commercial projects within across various key commercial markets and work closely with architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors.ability to make reliable predictions as it relates to cost and be comfortable estimating across all scopes of work.Must have experience preparing detailed conceptual cost estimates and conceptual cost studies from schematic or feasibility level documentation.Use of relevant estimating software requiring advanced analytical processes to ensure logically estimated costs are accurate.Derive systems quantities for Building Information Models (BIM) and other estimating software in order to provide complete estimate.Present estimate and participate in bid reviews overseeing a team of estimators for large, complex projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Key ExperienceBachelor’s degree is desired but not essential.5-8 years of experience / knowledge of construction estimating is desirable.Ability to identify, adapt to, and resolve complex issues.Effective participation in a team environment, with both external and internal teammates.Make subcontractor award recommendations to the customer / owner and negotiate and finalize subcontracts with trade partners.About Hamilton Mayer InternationalHamilton Mayer International is a leading executive search and selection business.
