JOB SUMMARY
Title: Registered Oncology Dietitian - 554796901
Department: Peeples Cancer Institute (PCI)
Reports To: Oncology Service Line Administrator
This position brings the expertise of the clinical dietitian and applies it to the adult oncology patient population. The incumbent utilizes excellent communication and customer relation skills. Responsibilities include the ability to work with physicians in developing recommendations for individualized nutritional treatment plans for their patients. Provides education and support to the individual oncology patient.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelors Degree with major Dietetics.
Licensure: CPR Certified. Registered Dietitian in the state of Georgia. Maintains 15 hours of CEUs per year.
Experience: Practical experience in an oncology setting
Skills: Must be able to effectively provide Oncologic Nutrition Therapy, including adequate documentation, interpretation of medical data, and relate appropriate to the patient and their support structure, colleagues, physicians and other health care workers. Must be able to develop and implement Oncology nutrition education programs and effectively manage the available resources. Bilingual preferred.

Mostly sedentary conditions. Local travel required. Must be able to do promotional media presentations. Culinary skills required. Lifting up to 50 lbs. Must have the ability to self-assess, self-correct, and self-direct. Maintains accountability of his/her actions. Must be able to communicate effectively in English (i.e. speaking, body language, reading, writing, listening) for varied audiences and purposes. Must be able to interact effectively with patients, families, colleagues, other health care professionals and the community and to deal effectively with cultural and ethnic diversity issues.
