The Process Engineer – Dynamics D365 ERP, ensures the optimal use of our ERP systems to meet our global business and functional requirements. The Process Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing ERP projects across all production and non-production environments while navigating multiple implementations and projects running in parallel.
The candidate will work with the various stakeholders in the ERP system to coordinate efforts deploying customizations into non-production environments for user acceptance testing and promoting successfully evaluated packages to production. In addition, the Process Engineer will work with stakeholders to create filtered reports and provide user training.
The candidate will communicate and coordinate with internal and external project managers, and remote development teams to plan and implement system changes.
This role reports to the Engineering Manager and is part of the growing HMI Engineering Team that supports Hamilton medical device manufacturing in the United States.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement ERP system changes
- Works with stakeholders on interpretation/translation of functional requirements into system requirements and integrates monitoring, logging, and metrics frameworks into projects
- Communicate and coordinate with internal and external project managers, and remote development teams to plan and implement system changes
- Provide technical expertise in the Microsoft Dynamics365 Finance & Operations and finds ways to spread learning across the organization (gives technical talks, presentations, etc.)
- Train company users in D365
- Pro-actively identify improvement or optimization opportunities based on best practices especially in areas where automation is possible
- Assist in the performance of software validation activities according to company validation procedures and ISO/FDA requirements
- Create and maintain technical design and other required documents per the Standards and Processes
- Troubleshoots application issues by diagnosing and debugging issues within production systems by performing thorough root cause analysis
- Maintains and improves technology proficiency with evolving technologies to achieve desired technical and business outcomes
- Work with Manufacturing Engineers to support data metric gathering and data support
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact with all levels within an organization and across multiple geographies
- Strong MS Office skills across Power-Point, Excel, and Word
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team collaboratively and within deadlines
Education/Experience
- Degree in Information Technology or related field required
- 3-5 years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 in an ERP environment
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS), or SQL server reporting services (SSRS) a plus
- Familiarity with ticket systems such as Jira Service Desk a plus
