Hamilton Pet Meadow is a pet crematory in Central New Jersey with a senior staff with over 100 years experience. You'll get to work with the newest technology in the pet funeral home industry while helping bring peace to families in need.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Aquamation Operator who will be responsible for operating the Aquamation equipment and related accessories to process the pet/animal remains according to company standard practices and procedures, while keeping a safety-first mindset, verifying case accuracy prior to processing, and ensuring the remains are always handled with dignity and respect. The Aquamation Operator will report directly to Aquamation Manager.

We are presently looking to fill a full-time position (hourly rate plus overtime opportunity available)

Current Available Shifts:

Wednesday to Sunday: 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM

The training for this job will be scheduled Monday through Friday 9:00AM to 5:00 PM. The training will last at a minimum 2 weeks.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Operate Aquamation equipment and related accessories to process pet/animal remains.

· Follow provided company standard practices and procedures, including safety and legal regulations; utilize the electronic Pet Cremation System handheld device for barcode tracking of each pet and input data as needed.

· Inspect Aquamation equipment and complete maintenance checklist on a daily, weekly and monthly basis; immediately report any safety concerns to management.

· Hazardous Chemical Handling (PPE provided)

· Maintain a high standard of cleanliness for the equipment and surrounding area, including wiping down equipment, sweeping/mopping floors on a daily basis.

· Adhere to company uniform and professional standards at all times.

· Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

· Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent; 1 year crematory operator or death care industry experience preferred, but training is available.

· Computer/Software: Experience with utilizing an android smartphone device preferred.

· Must be a team player with strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

· Requires accurate, detailed and thorough record keeping abilities.

· Self-motivated with excellent time management, organizational and detail-oriented skills.

· A high level of uncompromising integrity, ethics and compassion for the care of the deceased is required.

· Ability to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

· Experience in the death care industry a plus, but not required.

Work Environment*

· Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.

· Must be able lift up to 80 pounds and bend, twist as needed throughout the workday.

· The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud with exposure to hot surfaces and temperatures, chemicals and dust; proper PPE must always be worn.
