What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate (3rd Shift) position at Hamilton-Ryker?
POSITION SUMMARY :
Performs a variety of warehouse duties, which requires an understanding of the Company's storage plan. Work involves most of the following :
Verify materials against receiving and shipping documents, noting and reportinng discrepancies and obvious damages; routing material to perscribed storage locations by proper methods to protect material and employee safety; rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials; examine stored materials and reporting deterioration and damages; removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment. May operate various equipment to stage, locate or process material for shipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
1.Accurately locate and identify stock for storage and retrieval using scanner when appropriate.
2. Safety operate related machinery and equipment.
3. Properly identify, scan and process paperwork necessary for material handeling.
4. Correctly load and unload trucks and verify load with delivery tickets and scanner.
5.Properly tag, band, and package material for shipment.
6. Maintain a clean and safe work area.
7. Always be helpful and courteous to all customers and employees.
8. Perform other duties as related or assigned for the benefit of the Company.
9. Good attendance is an essential function of the job.
