Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in planning and implementing effective practice sessions and game strategies.
- Help in the development of athletes' skills, including techniques, tactics, and physical conditioning.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to student-athletes, emphasizing the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect.
- Monitor and evaluate player performance during practices and games, providing constructive feedback.
- Assist in the organization and execution of team events, including games, tournaments, and community outreach activities.
- Maintain a safe and positive environment for all participants and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team policies, schedules, and expectations.
- Collaborate with the head coach to manage team logistics, including equipment, transportation, and game-day preparations.
- Attend all scheduled practices, games, and coaching meetings throughout the season.
- Previous coaching experience or competitive playing experience in football is preferred.
- Strong understanding of football fundamentals, strategies, and rules of the game.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a coaching team and engage with diverse student populations.
- Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
- Availability to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends during the football season.
